About the artist
freaky-Deek is a German artist known for his innovative approach to sculpture and digital storytelling. Originating from Bavaria, he was exposed to various art forms early in life, which sparked his fascination with figurines and creative expression. This passion led him to transition from a conventional corporate career to a full-time artist, focusing on bringing his unique characters to life through traditional sculpting techniques combined with modern technological elements.
His most notable project, Art Defines Zero One® (Project AD-01), features meticulously crafted android sculptures made from polymer clay, metal, and electronics. These sculptures, often at a 1:2 scale, challenge the boundaries between humanity and technology, reflecting on the increasing automation in the modern world and its impact on human creativity and identity. Each piece is hand-assembled and painted, making every sculpture a unique artifact.
freaky-Deek’s work is characterized by its physical and cinematic elements. Before sculpting, he visualizes his creations as film directors do with scenes, ensuring that each piece tells a compelling visual story. His use of minimal digital editing techniques further emphasizes the handcrafted nature of his art, underscoring the importance of traditional methods in a digitized age.
